Our Open Air Outdoor Classrooms are designed to inspire curiosity, foster independence, and create a safe, intentional adventure space in which children can take calculated risks. Our extensive, nature-rich classrooms consist of stations for dramatic play, process oriented art, sensory play, and element inspired experiments, such as water. Our environment includes a fully equipped mud kitchen, and herb + vegetable gardens to encourage nature appreciation, care taking, and food to table competency. Elements hosts an elevated treehouse, large areas of healthy soil, stumps, sticks, and branches, and plenty of open space where children can continually transform and distinguish ownership over their learning environment. Our indoor classrooms become essential on days when the weather is dangerous, and are a compliment to the work we achieve together outdoors. Elements believes in the Nordic phrase, “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes,” so children come prepared to sustain and engage in “all weather” play and delight.
